Individual & Couples Therapy

Individual Counseling

As with all aspects of healing practice I provide, I utilize a holistic systemic approach in individual therapy. I recognize each individual's uniqueness as well as the interconnectedness of personal experiences and broader relational dynamics. I understand and emphasize that individuals are shaped not just by their personal histories but also by the systems—such as family, social circles, and cultural contexts—in which they exist.

Throughout our journey together, I act as a guide, helping you explore your relationships and their impact on your well-being. This collaborative approach fosters a deeper understanding of your personal narrative. By examining family dynamics and relational patterns, you can gain insights into recurring issues in your life. This understanding can lead to profound changes in how you relate to others as well as yourself.

Additionally, recognizing your role within various systems in your life can empower you to make intentional changes. You learn to navigate relationships more effectively and create healthier boundaries encouraging you to not only reflect on your experiences but also to take actionable steps toward change, improving both your individual well-being and your relational dynamics.

I am deeply committed to supporting you on your unique journey toward healing and self-discovery and I am priviledged to walk alongside you , moving toward greater clarity, balance, and fulfillment.

Couples Counseling

Having success in working with couples for over 25 years, I have learned to utilize different approaches depending on the needs of the couple. Through an integrative approach, I provide a supportive neutral environment to assist couples reaching goals of better communication skill (teaching effective ways to express feelings and needs) ;  conflict resolution (providing strategies to navigate disagreements constructively and respectfully);  emotional connection (enhancing both physical and emotional intimacy and understanding between partners); and increased awareness (Partners learn to recognize their own emotions and reactions, fostering better understanding of each other’s feelings).

In addition to talk therapy, I offer Psychedelic Assisted Therapy (PAT) to couples. I find that when couples are immersed within their own stories and hurts, it can be difficult to break through to healing. Psychedelic-assisted therapy can offer several benefits for couples looking to enhance their relationship or address specific challenges. Here are some key advantages:

  1. Enhanced Communication: Psychedelics can promote open and honest dialogue, helping couples express feelings and thoughts that might usually remain unspoken.

  2. Increased Empathy: Many psychedelics can foster a deeper sense of empathy, allowing partners to better understand each other's perspectives and experiences.

  3. Breaking Patterns: Psychedelic experiences can help individuals recognize and disrupt negative patterns of behavior or communication that may be affecting the relationship.

  4. Emotional Release: The therapeutic setting can facilitate emotional processing, allowing couples to confront and release pent-up feelings, leading to healing.

  5. Shared Experience: Going through a psychedelic experience together can create a unique bond, reinforcing intimacy and connection.

  6. Perspective Shift: Psychedelics can provide new insights into relationship dynamics, helping partners see issues from different angles and consider new solutions.

  7. Stress Reduction: These therapies can lower anxiety and stress, promoting a more relaxed environment for addressing relationship issues.

  8. Enhanced Creativity: Psychedelic experiences can boost creativity, potentially leading to new ways of thinking about problems and solutions in the relationship.

  9. Integration of Insights: With professional guidance, couples can work to integrate the insights gained during the experience into their daily lives and interactions.

  10. Therapeutic Support: When conducted with trained therapists, couples receive support throughout the process, ensuring safety and facilitating deeper exploration of relationship dynamics.

Overall, psychedelic-assisted therapy can be a powerful tool for couples seeking to deepen their connection, heal past wounds, and foster a healthier relationship.
